It’s so lovely to see you in my inbox Pip! And I’m happy you’re feeling a bit better. I wish there was something I could do to make things easier for you. Is there anyway we can support you from afar?

And how GREAT is being with your sister?! Mine is over with her baby & after being separated for more than 2 years I actually can’t contain my joy. I’m SO happy!

Jenny Colgan is one of my fave feel good writers. Her books are like a cosy blanket, so nice to curl up with. I just read another Mhairi McFarlane book yesterday. Her books are very fun.

Take care Pip xx

lovely to catch up with you Pip, I sure hope you soon find yourself in some kind of remission from all your health struggles.

Thanks for this recipe I don't like lamb but know members of my family will love this and I may just try it with beef as well.

I have put that book on hold at the library.

I've just finished listening to Melissa Harrison's podcast the stubborn light of things, was it you who recommended it? Anyway all that to say I've found myself craving, yearning for the calmness and kindness of simple podcasts and books, things that are just nice and kind and gentle. I didn't realise just how jangly and fizzy my nerves were until I enveloped myself in her podcast with its gentle, lovely sounds, nature and calming voice and gentle topic. I didn't even know how much I needed gentle before.

cheers kate
